One of the issues with real world data is that there may be mixtures of failure modes, suppliers, or duty cycles.  Consider an automotive manufacturer tracking tire warranty.  Customers drive different amounts each month, on different roads, and have different road hazards.  We developed some of the first equations to model these mixtures, AND developed algorithms to fit these models to your data.  We have also done extensive research on the PVE Goodness of Fit technology which is proprietary to SuperSMITH.  Behind the scenes, we also work on improved algorithms to compute various items.
